My client is a Financial Services giant with offices in Sydney's CBD.

They are currently looking for a highly skilled eCommerce Analyst Programmer to work on a greenfield eCommerce development project.

In this role, you will be working within the development team to:

• Design and develop client-facing web applications to meet the requirements of the business
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with the business and IT stakeholders
• Help the team set its technical direction
• Work within established policies and procedures

The following technical skills will be required:

• Excellent knowledge of Java and Object Oriented software development
• Experience applying web-based Enterprise Java solutions to challenges requiring distributed architecture
• Proven ability to understand the architecture of web development projects
• Experience developing with frameworks applicable to Java web development. Examples might include Spring, Velocity, Hibernate, JSF etc
• Proficiency with client-side web technology such as DHTML & JavaScript, ideally also AJAX, RIA
• System integration experience using technologies such as Web Services & messaging
• Some experience with Content Management Systems and Portal frameworks (Liferay would be an advantage)
• Good working knowledge of general web infrastructure: browsers, proxies, security, LDAP, XML
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An appreciation for key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business
• You will work closely with the business and technical stakeholders and will be required to work with minimal supervision.
