Start your career now while youre still at school! MIGAS has an opportunity for 2 grade 11 or 12 (in 2012) to commence a School Based Traineeship and complete a Certificate 2 in Engineering Production within a company that does heavy structural steel fabrication based at Eagle Farm.
Duties will include;

general workshop duties
-
MIG and stick welding
-
oxy cutting
-
grinding
-
guillotine
-
marking out
-
reading drawings
-
overhead crane
-
assisting the tradesmen with brake press, plate roller, section roller and other tasks
As the successful applicant you will have good mathematics and communication skills and be attending year 11 or 12 in 2012.
You will work one day a week, either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 5:45am until 2:45pm. You will need your own car & licence or other transportation too work as there is no public transport available that time of the morning.
This HOST company is looking for some one who is wanting to turn a school based traineeship into a full time apprenticeship once finished school.
