ASSISTANT MANAGER

GOLD COAST RECOVERY SERVICES CENTRE - FAIRHAVEN

 The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical branch of the universal Christian Church.  We work in the community offering practical and spiritual support to assist people to live their lives to their potential. 

This role is responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of daily operations of Fairhaven, including staff and volunteers, to ensure efficient and smooth running of the Centre, enhancing services to the Division and its entities and to provide a safe and secure environment to alcohol and drug dependent persons, which is aligned to the achievement of the TSA mission.

To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:-

  • A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army. An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel.
  • Minimum of Cert IV qualifications within community services, social work or similar discipline and extensive experience within Rehabilitation or other social environments or Tertiary qualifications coupled with reasonable experience within Rehabilitation or other social environments.
  • 3+ years in a similar environment.
  • Minimum 12months supervisory experience.
  • Highly effective planning, decision making, organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Evidence of extensive knowledge in legislative requirements that govern this type of environment
  • Evidence of Professional Development
  • Drivers Licence
