Specialist Consultant - Mental Health - Gold Coast based role

Parkhouse Bell is currently recruiting for a Specialist Consultant Mental Health to be based on the Gold Coast. Our client provides various services to support individuals with illness, injury and disability and to individuals who may have barriers to finding and staying in sustainable employment. This is a newly created position for a Specialist Consultant to work with clients with severe mental illness and supporting them into work and on the job through ongoing training and support.
 
 
Successful applicants will have/be:

• Experience working with people with disabilities, illness or injury - in particular working with people with mental illness 
• An insight and understanding into the significant barriers that face the long term unemployed
• Demonstrated case management experience in the Employment Services sector, ideally within a DEN or DES provider
• The ability to inspire and motivate other people
• Results and target driven and have proven experience working towards KPIs
• The ability to remain professional in all interactions with internal and external clients
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills
• Proactive in creating and building relationships with local employers and businesses
• Their own vehicle and a current open driver's license

 

 
Qualifications in Disability Studies, Mental Health, Psychology, Community Services and/or other relevant fields is desirable. Experience working in the Employment Services sector within a DEN or DES provider is highly regarded. Other experience from Welfare to Work, Community Services, Youth Services, Mental Health Services, Training or Recruitment will also be regarded well.
