With unparalleled expertise in piling, foundations, substructures, tunnelling, bridges, building, marine works and water storage schemes they are called upon to handle the most demanding of projects crucial to the continued prosperity of the city.
A key position has recently opened up within the building team for a Divisional Commercial Manager to join immediately. You will be responsible for managing the commercial function of large scale construction projects in Hong Kong with duties including:
- Managing the commercial team, supervise the preparation of pre-qualifications submissions, commercial review of tenders, sub-contract tender and related documentation
- Oversee the project cash-flow by timely, complete and proper submission of interim applications
- Continually work towards, prepare and agree on project final account
- Develop and manage project commercial strategy
- Provide contractual, financial and commercial advice to the project team
- Manage all contract arrangements and documentation
- Draft appropriate contract documents and prepare necessary commercial reports
- Report on the projects financial position including monthly cost value reconciliations and project forecasting.
To be considered for this rare opportunity you must be degree qualified in quantity surveying or a related discipline and be either MHKIS or MRICS. As this is a key divisional leading position you must be able to demonstrate solid commercial and contractual acumen gained for at least 15 years working in the construction industry, the majority of which will have been spent working for top tier contractors. Strong communication skills are also essential with command of both English and Chinese preferred.
