Renowned for their excellence in energy / power infrastructure design and development, this high profile energy services group has an opportunity for a Senior Design Engineers to play key role in their busy team in Melbourne. As a Senior Design Engineer Protection and Control, your responsibilities will include: - Designing secondary protection systems for substations up to 500kV
- Calculating relay settings
- Providing support to a diverse range of engineers and project managers as required
- Providing scopes of work in relation to protection projects
- Liaising with internal and external clients as required
To be successful in this role you will ideally have: - A degree in electrical engineering, majoring in power systems
- Demonstrated experience in the detailed design of secondary protection systems up to 220kV
- Background knowledge in SCADA systems including PLC programming and communications protocols
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- The ability and drive to mentor and develop junior engineers in the team
