Lead Cost Engineer - FIFO
Starting on a greenfields scope of work on a major mning project, this role will see you involved from the get go and collaborating with management team to assist in establishing the “Best solution” costing methods for this $1.5B+ Role Accountabilities:
- Oversee the development of discipline Cost schedule in conjunction with engineers.
- Along with the client management team, over view the precision of the cost control setup system and planning methodologies assigned for the project.
- Generation of histograms and progress S curves from schedules.
- Generation of discipline curves for Mgt. Information System.
- Monitoring and tracking progress and staff hour estimates.
- Liaise with Procurement and contracts department to chase timely delivery of materials and track/monitor subcontracts.
- Review and analyze vendors’ budget
- Initially support proposals departments with schedules for bidding jobs.
Experience in civil engineering developments such as roads, camps, bulk earth works and camp construction are required required, site experience will be advantageous. Ideally you will need 8 years plus experience in cost engineering and at least 3 in a senior role in addition to a Bachelor of Engineering or an accounting degree.
