A growing not for profit organisation which provides health services to people in the community is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join the Community Aged Care Packages team. The Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) team carry out individualised planned and coordinated care services designed to meet older people's daily care needs in the community and provide case management to elderly and frail people with low to medium support needs living independently in their home.

Your day could look like this! seeing 3-4 clients per day, spending 1-2 hours with each client, assisting with activities of daily living, assist with cleaning of their home, social support to client, checking on your clients wellbeing, and reporting to the team leader any safety risks and concerns in regards to client welfare.

So you will require:
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care;
  • Ability to work 3 days per week, Monday - Friday;
  • A current police clearance check or willingness to obtain;
  • Experience working with elderly clients and a sound understanding of the issues faced by older people living at home;
  • Reliability, be on time, have a good sense of direction and be able to read a map;
  • Current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
