Hydrogeologist / Team Leader

• Lead / grow the NSW Hydrogeology team which forms part of the Environment & Sustainability group
• Currently there are two people in the team, one a senior professional and a junior.
• Business Attraction will be a key part of the role, ie identifying and pursuing work opportunities – work in its own right and as part of a package of project services.
• You will be supported by the NSW Environment Manager on this front.
• Work in conjunction with the other teams (Contaminated Sites/Waste Management, Ecology, Natural Resources and Planning) with regard to projects and prospective work.
• Proactively initiate, develop and undertake marketing and business development activities with the objective of growing the business.
• Mentor junior staff
• While there could be opportunities for international work, the expectation is that the role would be principally focussed on the NSW market (and other parts of Australia).
• Management of the team with respect to financial and project performance
• Prepare proposals, plan and manage projects, liaise with clients etc
• Manage quality of project work and deliverables
