CM Health is the sole provider for registered Health Practitioners to the Department of Defence for South East Queensland. We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Enoggera Army Barracks Accident and Emergency Dept. Mandatory Requirements:- A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience within the previous 5 years.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to patients.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Adherence to Australian Nursing Council National Competency Standards and regulations of QLD.
- Current Basic Life Support qualification.
Tasks will include:- Inpatient care and health promotion services;
- Provide medical support by attending activities/incidents within the military area and escort patients between health facilities;
- Supervision and mentoring of Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Medical Assistants (if required);
- Liaison with medical staff regarding appropriate patient care;
- Conduct health surveillance and counselling if required; and
- Communicate aspects of patient care to family members, patient supervisors, medical officers, nursing staff and other allied healthcare workers as necessary, whilst being mindful of privacy and Medical In Confidence issues;
