Our client is an Australian owned award winning Project Management consultancy offering services in the areas of project definition, feasibility and strategy, project delivery, commercial/contractual support, and business enhancement to a number of major government bodies and private entities. This business is thriving under the current construction boom in Australia; they have major projects currently underway throughout the nation and in Asia which has made them the envy of their competitors. As a result of their recent success they are seeking an experience Project Manager to join their Melbourne consulting business.

The role reports to the Principal Project Manager who is the leader of the Melbourne business; while the position is largely autonomous in its day to day function you will enjoy the support of some of the most respected members of the professional services industry. The challenge of this opportunity lies in delivering business cases for public and private sector clients to ensure the successful funding of their projects, then overseeing the project at a strategic level, making certain they are running at an optimal level, no two days will be the same with every project having a different scope.

This role is suited to someone who has a high level of understanding of strategic project management; knowledge of running a project process to a robust set of standards; strong commercial acumen; and the ability to build business. Ideally you will come from either a consulting environment or a senior position within a government organisation and have a qualification in project management or engineering.
