My Client is a large End User and a household name throughout Australia. With the support office located in the scenic Hills District, close to 40 branches throughout Sydney and 121 in total across Australia my Client is a true leader in their industry and have a strong employee satisfaction focus boasting brilliant retention rates of their staff. 

The Role

Working in an IT division of 11 in total you will be part of the Support team and be reporting to the Senior Systems Engineer. The majority of support will be undertaken over the phone so you must have excellent communication skills. You will be supporting things such as desktop hardware, network infrastructure, phones and application problems. You will need to have excellent troubleshooting skills in order to manage a busy help desk supporting branches all throughout Australia. Other tasks include: purchasing and installing IT equipment, user requests, liaising with internal users, IT staff and also any external suppliers they may use. 

Not only this, but you will get exposure to working with the Projects team and be able to get your hands dirty with some exciting technologies they are looking to upgrade/implement in the near future. This is a challenging role and has heaps of potential!

The Requirements

Essential skills required:
  • Minimum of a Cert IV qualification 
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar type position
  • Knowledge of remote support tools such as VNC, RDP.
  • Exposure to Citrix XenApp/XenServer technologies
  • Active Directory user management 
  • Windows desktop and operating systems
  • MS Office
Desirables:
  • *Baseplan software experience*
  • iPhone support
  • Desktop and Laptop configuration
