An experienced ICT Project Manager is urgently required to join our client, a well-known State Government organisation based in Parramatta. Planning and managing activities across multiple teams and disciplines, the Project Manager will deliver complex project-based solutions with relation to the refresh/replacement of critical technology assets.

The Role:

• Actively drive the design, documentation and development of business and technical requirements, ensuring that client needs and expectations and being satisfied.
• Perpetuate best practice, professional standards and compliance/legislative adherence for all Project Management activities.
• Effective engagement of vendors and internal staff.
• Monitoring and reporting on financial, schedule, progress and quality aspects.
• Mentor, lead and facilitate an effective project delivery team, ensuring all staff have adequate information for best performance.
• Resource management/allocation.
• Negotiate issues and solutions across the organisation, internally and externally, and provide leadership at the senior level.
• Maintain strong business relationships with clients.

Your Background:

• Proven experience delivering a variety of complex ICT projects - technical installation, infrastructure upgrades, server, system/software package upgrades, and network services.
• Proven successful experience in end-to-end Project Management of concurrent projects, and preferably Prince2 certification.
• Strong ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, developing effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and business units.
• Understanding of Government legislation and guidelines as well as corporate information management policies.
• PC proficiency particularly in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
