My client is an Australian owned Software Vendor that specialises in the sales, implementation and servicing of Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), Intranets, Extranets and Corporate Websites.
Their products are used by top end Mid-Sized enterprises within retail, finance, automotive, professional services firms to name a few and they boast a track record of growth even during tough financial times.
Whilst they are very serious about what they do - this company has a work hard play hard policy. You won't see anyone in this company working late hours and the only times the staff stay back is for social gatherings- dinners and drinks anyone?
Not surprising that they have a fantastic staff retention rate and all the staff working there will say that it is a great place to work to have fun while developing your skills.
ROLE
Due to aggressive growth plans for 2010, this company is currently looking for a Business Development Manager for an immediate start.
As the BDM, it will be your responsibility to go out and seek new business via cold calling, appointments, marketing activities, presentations proposals and closing.
You will have an annual revenue target to meet, and you will be reporting to the General Manager of Sales.
An average size deal here is anywhere from $50k-$70k and can take anything from 2-4 months to close.
Typically you will be targeting HR Managers, Marketing Managers, IT Managers and whilst it is not a overly complex sell - it will all come down to your relationship building skills.
CANDIDATE
To be successful in your application, you must:
-Have a min of 3-5 years exp selling technology solutions.
-Be able to demonstrate a track record of hitting targets
-Have the hunger to perform at a fast paced new business focused role
-WCMS sales exp is a big advantage but not a must
REWARDS
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $75,000-$85,000 plus super with an uncapped OTE of $140,000.
