This client is a leading infrastructure Rail Organisation who are currently undertaking a project to rewrite the technical descriptions and instructions for their Safety Management System (SMS).

Duties include

Work closely with the SMS re-write team to support the development and delivery of complex information for a general audience.

Work SMEs to determine the need and content for units

Distil technical descriptions and instructions into a form that can be readily understood by document users

Conduct gap analysis to identify Gaps in the coverage from legislation to procedures

Prepare document indexes

Monitor tasks and provide updates to the Project Coordinator for inclusion in the Project Management plan

Establish and maintain effective client service-provider relationships with both internal and external industry clients to meet useability demands and Business Group Objectives.

To be successful you must possess

Technical writing skills including understanding of plain English principles

Good research and analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems

High level written and verbal communication skills

High level organisational skills including ability to work to tight deadlines

Strong computer skills, including graphic software

Ability to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders including key SMEs

Project Management experience
