We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of Australias larger Life Insurers, who seek a Senior Claims Assessor to join their Retail Life Insurance team in Melbourne. The firm pay out hundreds of millions of dollars every year in benefits, and are sincere about the cause and duty towards their clients.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a manageable portfolio of life insurance claims (40-50 claims per assessor)
Assessment and investigation of claims relating to Income Protection, TPD, Trauma and Death a lot of the claims are disease-lead.
Develop excellent relationships with clients, life insurance advisers, doctors, solicitors and rehab providers
Calculating benefits payments
End to end claims management
The successful candidate:
MUST have atleast 3-4 years experience in Retail or Group Life Claims. Exceptional Claims Assessors with 18 months experience PLUS a medical background(see below)will be considered.
Freshideas on how individual claims and the claims process can be managed, would be highly regarded to the claims manager
Candidates with a medical background (educational or working) in OT, Para, Psych, Physio WITH claims experience are encouraged to apply
Strong attention to detail with an analytical and inquisitive personality
