Business Development Manager - Coprorate Superannuation

One of Australia's premier financial services companies is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to head up the corporate superannuation business team in WA. The purpose of this role is to work with targeted Corporates, consulting houses, dealer groups and financial planners to facilitate business opportunities. In return you will be aligned with the market leader in retail and corporate superannuation and be provided with all the tools to establish a substantial corporate network.

Reporting to the Regional Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Directly identifying opportunities with larger corporates and engage appropriate personnel to ensure success in new corporate sales.
  • Educate and promote the capabilities, features and benefits of product suite,.
  • Develop and execute a Business Development Plan in respect of the sale of new corporate super plans through the product set.
  • Achieve sales targets and activity levels.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships.
  • Promote awareness of the Corporate Superannuation "Value proposition" and position this as the pre-eminent option in all sales opportunities.
  • Develop an appropriate Business Development Plan for Corporate Superannuation, encompassing new business and profitability targets.

To be successful in the role you will have:
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial and innovative approach to sales and marketing products
  • Strong Negotiation and networking skills
  • Proven relationship management ability
  • Account planning knowledge
  • Understanding of the financial planning process
  • Expert knowledge of current and proposed superannuation legislation and industry trends
  • Excellent knowledge of the corporate superannuation market in WA
  • Experience in developing and delivering formal business presentations with corporate clients
  • Experience in developing formal tender documents for corporate clients
  • Experienced in sales of superannuation products (especially in the corporate sector )
  • Tertiary qualification in a business discipline or accreditation in ASFA Superannuation Diploma or currently studying towards completion , or can demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
