The purpose of this position is to provide guidance and synchronization of mine engineering, geotechnical and surveying resources in a safe and commercial way in order to develop mining strategies and plans to align with site budgets. Required Skills: - Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive experience in underground mining
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to get the best out of the technical team
- Excellent communication, mentoring and negotiation skills
- High level of organisational and project management skills
Responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to: - Provide advice in relation to health, safety and environmental management
- Remain compliant with legislation and licences
- Maintain strong links between operations and mine planning/scheduling
- Achieve directives within the required time frames and budget
- Develop the Technical Services team to achieve departmental targets
- Promote professional development and skills growth amongst staff
- Develop and implement improvement plans
- Provide support and technical assistance to the management team
