I am recruiting for a manufacturer and distributor of tools, engineering and mining supplies, they have been around for over 20 years and are one of the best well known brands in Australia. This business has a unique setup, they control the entire supply chain from their manufacturing facilities right through to their large, state of the art distribution outlets. They have a reputation for providing outstanding customer service and their future is bright with a large growth platform in place to ensure continued market dominance in their chosen field. This role is an external account management position, you will have a geographical area which runs from Rockhampton down to Hervey Bay so as you can imagine you will be required to conduct an over night trip once a month to ensure all clients in your territory are serviced in a professional manner. Your main responsibilities will be: Proactively select, collect and communicate customer/competitor information required to improve market transparency and identify potential new customers. Build and maintain a service offering to both new and existing clients. Foster relationships with customers to increase loyalty. Create, identify, and manage a funnel of opportunities from the assigned territories and customer accounts. Manage the selling process for these opportunities through to receipt of a customer purchase order. The person I am seeking will have a success driven mind, will be willing to put in that extra step for not only their clients but also themselves. To succeed in this role you will combine your knowledge of the industrial supply market with your interpersonal skills. You will have an understanding of the mining, gas and oil sectors and an established rapport within the industry.You will have a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to achieving outstanding results.
