Our client, an industry leader in the manufacturing and supply of forklifts, has had considerable growth in recent times and is now in the market for two technicians/mechanics for an immediate start to oversee maintenance, repairs and modifications on forklifts at its workshops located in Footscray and Laverton. As a forklift technician you will be reporting to the Victorian Service Manager as you will be in charge of the maintenance and servicing of various types of forklifts in its workshop. To be considered for this role you will be a qualified light vehicle or diesel mechanic with experience in battery electrics and having experience in a similar role servicing and maintaining various forklifts is desirable as well as a strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability. As a forklift technician duties will include:- • Mast roller and hose replace • Diagnose and replace power and control fuses • Wheel Bearing services and replacement • Alternator, starter replacement • Hydraulic and coolant hose replacement • Drive and load wheel replacement To be considered for these positions you must fulfil the following criteria: Proven Forklift maintenance and repair experience – or relevant field The Successful candidate will possess:- • Excellent fault diagnostic skills • Mechanically minded • Exceptional communication skills • Ability to complete accurately and in a timely manner all required paperwork • Able to pass a medical • Able to work autonomously and as a team in a workshop environment • An excellent work ethic In return for you services you will be provided with not only a fantastic team and working environment but you will also be provided with world leading training for you to become a success in the role.
