Passive Reserves Maintenance Technician

  • Part Time, 3 days a week (negotiable)
  • No less than 3 months on casual basis
  • Heathcote & surrounding districts

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Passive Reserves Maintenance Technician to join their team.

The overall responsibility of this role is to undertake outdoor works within the Heathcote area and surrounding districts with the objective to effectively maintain a variety or reserves and open space environments. The successful applicant will undertake duties such as mowing, brush cutting and general maintenance tasks, as instructed, on various local parks, reserves, sports ground surrounds and linear creek systems.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Experience in garden or public open space maintenance
• Ability to conduct light landscape construction will be an advantage
• Operation of various horticultural equipment including (but not limited to)
- knapsack sprayers
- Spot gun
- Brush Cutter
- Front deck mower
- Chainsaw
- Hand tools
• Current Victorian Drivers license


The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

• Ability to carry out instructions and complete works within a given timeframe
• Ability to plan and organize necessary resources to carry out works in advance
• Ability to work individually or in a team
• Display good communication skills
• Actively display a passion for the outdoors and the preservation of our natural environment
